How to get it (and who gets it)

Requirements as of August 2026: a paid Claude plan — Pro at $20/month, Max, Team, or Enterprise. Install the "Claude by Anthropic for Excel" add-in from the Microsoft Marketplace or Excel's own add-ins menu, sign in with your Claude account, and the sidebar appears.
