Manus Pricing (2026): Free, Pro $20 or $40, Team $20 a Seat, and What a Credit Buys

The short answer

As of October 16, 2026, Manus Free is $0 with 300 credits a day, Pro starts at $20 a month for 4,000 credits or $40 a month for 8,000, and Team starts at $20 a seat per month. Annual billing takes about 17% off every paid plan. The catch is in the credits. Manus doesn't say how many one task uses, unused monthly credits disappear at renewal, and Free's daily allowance is capped at 1,500 a month.

These numbers come from Manus's own help center, read today. The pricing page itself only renders in a browser, and Manus's help article says that page wins if the two ever disagree. So treat this as the published ladder and confirm the number at checkout.

Every Manus plan

Plan Price Credits Models in Agent Mode Tasks at once
Free $0 300 a day, capped at 1,500 a month Manus 2.0 Lite 1 (plus 2 scheduled)
Pro From $20 / mo From 4,000 a month 2.0 Max, 2.0, 2.0 Lite 20 (plus 20 scheduled)
Pro (higher tier) From $40 / mo, 7-day free trial From 8,000 a month 2.0 Max, 2.0, 2.0 Lite 20 (plus 20 scheduled)
Team From $20 / seat / mo Shared team pool 2.0 Max, 2.0, 2.0 Lite Same as Pro

"Starting from" is Manus's wording on every paid line, and Manus says higher credit amounts exist above these. If you were on the old Basic or Plus plan, both were renamed Pro, and existing members keep renewing at their old price.

What one credit costs, and why the $40 plan isn't a discount

Divide the price by the credits and both Pro tiers land at the same rate:

  • $20 for 4,000 credits = $0.005 a credit, half a cent.
  • $40 for 8,000 credits = $0.005 a credit, also half a cent.
  • Annual billing at about 17% off brings either one to roughly $0.0042 a credit.

So the $40 tier is more credits a month at the same rate, plus a 7-day trial. It isn't a volume discount, and annual billing is the only published one. That changes the decision. Don't move up a tier to save money per credit. Move up only if you run out of 4,000 credits before the reset most months. Then check the dashboard once more before you commit to a year, because a year of credits you don't spend is just a bigger version of the same waste.

How credits get spent (and why nobody can tell you the per-task number)

Manus's help center lists three things a credit pays for: the language model's tokens (planning, deciding, writing the output), the cloud virtual machine the agent works in (files, browser, code), and paid third-party data sources such as financial databases. A task's cost depends on how complex it is and how long it runs.

That's why there is no "a research report costs X credits" number anywhere on Manus's site, and why third-party pages that print one are guessing. What Manus does give you:

  • An estimate before you start. The dashboard shows the expected credits for a task before it runs, and your usage history shows what past tasks actually cost. Run three of your real tasks on a free or trial account and read that history. That's your per-task number.
  • Credits only burn while a task is active. Finished tasks, stored files and deployed sites cost nothing to keep, so there's no reason to delete old work.
  • Failures on Manus's side are refunded. If a task fails because of a technical problem at Manus, it refunds the credits.
  • The balance can briefly go negative. Manus charges each action at the start of the next one, so a final step can overshoot what you had left. You can't start a new task until the next refresh clears it.

Is Manus free?

Yes, but read the cap before you plan on it. Free gives 300 credits every day, which sounds like 9,000 a month. Manus caps the daily credits a free user can spend at 1,500 a month, so the real average is closer to 50 a day. Those daily credits also only work with Manus 2.0 Lite, Free allows one task at a time, and you get two scheduled automations.

That makes Free a fair way to test whether an agent that browses, builds files and writes reports suits your work. It won't run a real workload. Pro's 4,000 monthly credits are about 2.7x what Free lets you spend in a month, and they unlock the stronger models.

Credits that disappear: the rollover rules

  • Monthly credits reset on your subscription date and don't roll over. Subscribe on the 13th, and whatever's left on the 13th of next month is gone. This holds on annual plans too: you get a monthly refresh, not a yearly pot.
  • Upgrading mid-cycle doesn't move the reset date. The bigger allowance starts at your next refresh, and the old cycle's leftovers still clear on the original date.
  • Add-on credits carry over, but only while you have an active paid plan. Drop to Free and they go inactive. Manus doesn't print an add-on pack price in its help center or docs, so check it in the app before you buy.
  • Spend order: event credits first, then daily, then monthly, then add-on, then free credits. Your purchased add-ons are spent after your monthly allowance, which is the order you'd want.

What a team pays: Manus Team next to ChatGPT Business and Claude Team

Manus Team starts at $20 a seat per month and adds SSO, a data-training opt-out, usage analytics, access controls and shared slide templates on top of Pro. Credits sit in a shared pool. Here's the list price next to the two business plans a team usually already has or is weighing. The Manus numbers are today's read. The ChatGPT and Claude numbers come from my own pricing pages, checked this month.

Seats Manus Team (monthly) Manus Team (annual, ~17% off) ChatGPT Business (annual / monthly) Claude Team Standard (annual / monthly)
5 $100 / mo ~$1,000 / yr $1,200 / $1,500 a yr $1,200 / $1,500 a yr
10 $200 / mo ~$2,000 / yr $2,400 / $3,000 a yr $2,400 / $3,000 a yr
25 $500 / mo ~$5,000 / yr $6,000 / $7,500 a yr $6,000 / $7,500 a yr

On list price, Manus Team is the cheapest of the three. That isn't the real comparison, though, because they're different tools. ChatGPT Business and Claude Team are where a team drafts, edits and works inside its own documents, with usage limits that reset on a clock. Manus is an agent you hand a whole task to (research this market, build this deck, collect these numbers into a spreadsheet), and every task draws down a credit pool that doesn't refill until the next cycle. For most small teams it's an add-on to one of the other two, not a replacement. The seat-by-seat detail for those two is on ChatGPT Business pricing and the Claude Team plan page.

If research with sources is the main job, the closest like-for-like is Perplexity, which also meters its heavy agent work in credits. Its plan ladder is on Perplexity pricing.

Which plan to buy

  • Free to find out whether handing an agent a whole task works for you at all. Run your three most common tasks and read the credit history.
  • Pro at $20 once Free's 1,500 a month runs out or you need the 2.0 or 2.0 Max models. Stay here until you're short of 4,000 credits most months.
  • Pro at $40 only for the volume. It's the same half a cent per credit. Use the 7-day trial to check whether you'd actually spend 8,000.
  • Team as soon as more than one person uses it on company work. SSO and the training opt-out are the reason, not the credits. Agents that act on your files are also a reason to decide in writing what they're allowed to touch, and what an agent is good for in a small business at all is laid out in AI agents for small business.

Picking an agent is the easy part. The real cost is deciding which tasks it gets, what it may touch, and who checks its work before a client sees it. When a company wants that set up properly, alongside the ChatGPT or Claude plan it already pays for, that's the AI implementation work I do, at a published price.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Manus cost?
As of October 16, 2026, Manus's help center lists Free at $0, Pro starting at $20 a month for 4,000 monthly credits, a second Pro tier starting at $40 a month for 8,000 credits (with a 7-day free trial), and Team starting at $20 per seat per month. Annual billing takes about 17% off. Manus says the pricing page is the final word, so check it at checkout.
Is Manus free?
Yes, with limits. The Free plan gives 300 daily refresh credits, but Manus caps the daily credits a free user can spend at 1,500 a month, and they only run Manus 2.0 Lite. Free also allows 1 task at a time and 2 scheduled automations. The full Manus 2.0 and 2.0 Max models in Agent Mode need Pro or Team.
How many credits does a Manus task use?
Manus doesn't publish a fixed number. Credits pay for the model's tokens, the cloud computer the agent works in, and any paid data sources it calls, so a short question costs little and a long multi-step research task costs a lot. The dashboard shows an estimate before a task starts, and credits are only spent while a task is actively running.
Do unused Manus credits roll over?
Monthly plan credits don't. They reset on the same date each month, based on when you subscribed, even on an annual plan. Add-on credits you buy do carry over, but only while you keep a paid subscription; if the account drops to Free, they go inactive.
Is the $40 Manus Pro plan cheaper per credit than the $20 plan?
No. $20 for 4,000 credits and $40 for 8,000 credits are both half a cent per credit. The $40 tier buys more credits a month and comes with a 7-day free trial, not a lower rate. Annual billing is the only published discount, about 17%.
What does the Manus Team plan add?
Everything in Pro, plus single sign-on, an opt-out from data training, team usage analytics, internal access controls and shared slide templates. Team credits sit in a shared pool. It starts at $20 per seat per month, about the same list price as a ChatGPT Business or Claude Team seat billed monthly.
