Riverside Pricing (2026): Pro $29, Grow $39, Webinar $99, and the Hours Cap That Picks Your Plan

The short answer

As of October 18, 2026, Riverside costs $0 on Free, $29 a month on Pro ($24 billed yearly), $39 on Grow ($34 yearly) and $99 on Webinar ($79 yearly). Business is custom-priced. Recording is unlimited on every paid plan. The limit that decides which plan you need is how many hours of separate audio and video tracks you can download each month, and Riverside's own pricing page prints two different numbers for it.

Below is the full ladder, the two versions of that cap, what the AI credits cover, and what a weekly podcast and a monthly webinar actually cost on each plan.

Every Riverside plan

Plan Monthly Billed yearly Separate-track hours (plan table) Separate-track hours (FAQ) Built for
Free $0 $0 2, one-off not listed Testing
Pro $29 $24 / mo ($288 a year) 5 a month 15 Podcasts and interviews
Grow $39 $34 / mo ($408 a year) 15 a month 20 Going live, growing an audience
Webinar $99 $79 / mo Unlimited 25 Lead-gen webinars, up to 100 registrants
Business Custom Custom Unlimited not listed Teams, up to 10,000 registrants

Pro includes up to 4K video, a teleprompter for the host, unlimited text-based editing, unlimited transcriptions and Riverside's AI editing and repurposing agent. Grow adds the live and audience tools. Webinar adds registration, Q&A, polls, email reminders, a HubSpot integration and analytics. Business adds producer mode, a teleprompter for guests too, collaborative editing, custom roles, production workspaces and unlimited video storage. One more thing on the page to know: the yearly total printed under Webinar repeats Grow's $408. At $79 a month the year is $948, so check the checkout screen, not the card.

The cap that picks your plan: separate-track hours

Riverside records each person on their own audio and video track, at full quality on their own device. Those separate tracks are what make an interview easy to edit, and they're what the plans meter. Recording is unlimited. Downloading separate tracks is not: when you hit the cap, your recordings stay in your account, but you can't download new separate tracks until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade.

The problem is the number. Riverside's plan table says Pro gets 5 hours a month and Grow 15. The FAQ on the same page says 15 on Pro, 20 on Grow and 25 on Webinar, and describes the tracks as downloaded "per participant". Those two readings give very different answers for the same show, so treat the lower number as the safe one and check your account's usage page after the first month.

A worked example: a weekly 45-minute interview show

Say you record one 45-minute episode a week with one guest, about 4.3 episodes a month. How many hours that uses depends on how Riverside counts, and the page doesn't say plainly:

  • If hours count once per recording: 4.3 × 45 minutes = about 3.3 hours a month. That fits Pro under either number.
  • If hours count per participant track (the FAQ's wording): two people × 3.3 hours = about 6.5 hours a month. That is over Pro's 5 hours in the plan table, which pushes you to Grow at $34 a month yearly, but under the FAQ's 15.

Cost per downloaded hour, using the plan table's caps: Pro is $5.80 an hour at $29 monthly ($4.80 yearly); Grow is $2.60 an hour at $39 ($2.27 yearly). Using the FAQ's caps, Pro falls to $1.93 and Grow to $1.95. Either way, the honest price of a weekly show is $24 to $34 a month on yearly billing, and the difference between those two is entirely how you read one line of Riverside's page.

A worked example: one lead-gen webinar a month

If the goal is a webinar people register for, Grow isn't enough. Grow can stream live, but registration, Q&A, polls, automated reminders and the HubSpot integration are only on Webinar, which allows up to 100 registrants. On yearly billing that's $79 a month, $948 a year, or $79 a webinar if you run one a month. Full to 100 registrants, that's $0.79 a registrant. The step up from Grow is $45 a month, $540 a year, and it buys the registration page and the follow-up, which are the parts that turn a webinar into leads.

What the AI credits cover

Most of Riverside's AI doesn't touch credits. Magic Clips (short clips cut from a long recording), Magic Audio and the AI Co-Creator are included. Credits pay for the heavier features: AI Translation, AI B-Roll and Animated Clips. Pro starts with 2,000 free credits and Business with 12,000, and you can buy more when they run out. Riverside's pricing page doesn't print what a credit costs or how many a minute of translation uses, so if translation is the reason you're buying, test it on the trial before you budget around it.

Extra editors are an add-on on Pro, Grow and Webinar, with no price on the pricing page. Business is the only plan with collaborative editing and custom roles, so a team with several people editing at once is a Business conversation.

Riverside next to HeyGen and Runway

These three get lumped together as "AI video tools", but they make different things. Riverside records real people, you and a guest, and uses AI to edit, clip and transcribe it. HeyGen makes a talking person without a camera, about $0.77 a minute for a photo avatar on its $29 plan (HeyGen pricing). Runway generates footage nobody filmed, about $11 a minute of Gen-4.5 on its $35 plan (Runway pricing). If the content is a conversation, Riverside is the tool, and it's the cheapest of the three per finished minute.

Which plan to buy

  • Free to test recording quality with a real guest. The 2 hours are one-off.
  • Pro ($29, $24 yearly) for a weekly show or regular interviews, as long as your monthly separate-track hours stay under the cap your account shows.
  • Grow ($39, $34 yearly) if you go live, or if a two-person weekly show runs past Pro's cap on the plan table's count.
  • Webinar ($99, $79 yearly) only if you run registration-based webinars for leads.
  • Business once several people edit together or you need more than 100 registrants.

The recording is the easy part. Turning one conversation into a month of posts, emails and clips is where the time goes, and most of that is prompt work: the prompts for it are in ChatGPT for marketing, and where video fits next to the rest of a small team's marketing is in AI for small business marketing. Building that into a repeatable process, who records, who edits, who approves and where it ships, is the AI implementation work I do for small teams.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Riverside cost?
As of October 18, 2026, riverside.com/pricing lists Free at $0, Pro at $29 a month or $24 a month billed yearly ($288 a year), Grow at $39 or $34 yearly ($408 a year), and Webinar at $99 or $79 yearly. Business is custom pricing through Riverside's sales team. Pro, Grow and Webinar have a 14-day free trial.
Is Riverside free?
There is a free plan with the full editing suite and unlimited single-track recording and editing, but only 2 hours of separate audio and video track downloads, and those 2 hours are one-off, not monthly. That is enough to test the recording quality on a real interview, not to run a show.
What are separate track hours on Riverside?
They are the studio-quality files Riverside records for each participant separately, which is what an editor wants. Recording itself is unlimited; the cap is on downloading those separate tracks. Riverside's plan table lists 5 hours a month on Pro, 15 on Grow and unlimited on Webinar and Business, while the FAQ on the same page says 15 on Pro, 20 on Grow and 25 on Webinar. When you hit the cap you keep your content but cannot download new separate tracks until the next billing cycle or an upgrade, so confirm the number in your account before you pick a plan.
What are Riverside AI credits?
AI credits pay for Riverside's heavier AI features: AI Translation, AI B-Roll and Animated Clips. Pro starts with 2,000 free credits and Business with 12,000, and you can buy more when they run out. The core AI tools, Magic Clips, Magic Audio and the AI Co-Creator, do not use credits. Riverside's pricing page does not print a top-up price.
Do I need the Riverside Webinar plan to run a webinar?
For a lead-generation webinar, yes. Grow includes live streaming and multistreaming, but registration, Q&A, polls, automated email reminders, the HubSpot integration and webinar analytics are only on the Webinar plan, which allows up to 100 registrants. Business raises that to 10,000. On yearly billing Webinar costs $45 a month more than Grow, $540 a year.
Is Riverside monthly or yearly cheaper?
Yearly, by up to 20%: Pro drops from $29 to $24 a month, Grow from $39 to $34 and Webinar from $99 to $79. Riverside itself suggests monthly only if you are seasonal, testing, or need it for a single project. A year of Pro is $288 billed yearly against $348 month to month.
